Chambolle Musigny, Les Veroilles, 2021
Very fine flowing and ethereal, true Chambolle character here. Floating and crystalline with supple seductive charming tannins that gently coat the palate, fine translucent fruit and real delicacy. Harvested at just 8hl/ha yet the wine betrays no sign of struggle whatsoever. Sadly just 6 barrels were produced from 1.6ha. A jewel. Veroilles is one of the highest vineyards in the commune producing tense, high-toned wines that retain that Chambolle charm and texture.

Another bright, fragrant wine from Clair is the 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Veroilles, a medium-bodied, pure and elegant red evocative of raspberries, rose petals, orange zest and potpourri. Delicate and mineral, it reflects its stony, hillside site.
The 2021 Chambolles-Musigny Les Veroilles, cropped at just 9hL/ha, has a very focused, mineral-driven bouquet, dark berry fruit mixed with subtle forest floor aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, delicate but full of flavour, hints of orange pith and light spicy notes towards the persistent finish. Very fine.
