Latricieres Chambertin, Grand Cru, 2011

Typically more reserved and brooding than the Clos de la Roche, earthy crushed stone and mineral flavours, fruit notes of fresh crunchy red berry and currant, touches of plum, brooding intense and focused, dense but sumptuous, velvety tannins. A magnificent year for Latricières; a much cooler terroir than Clos de la Roche, this is often rather austere and reticent in its youth but blossoms with age.
