Latricieres Chambertin, Grand Cru, 2012

Rocky, crunchy, tight-knit flavours; intense and muscular but some beautifully vivid fruit with it. Bright, floral and distinctly mineral notes of forest berry, cherry, cherry stone, fruit blossom, dry stone and salt. Latricières is a much cooler terroir than Clos de la Roche, yielding wines that are often rather austere and reticent in its youth but blossoms with age.
