Intense, classy, high-toned. One of the less muscular Malconsorts but there is no lack of substance. Brilliant and bright flavours of loganberry, red cherry, raspberry and bramble with notes of sea salt. Long and sophisticated. A beauty.

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru has an exquisitely defined bouquet with raspberry and wild strawberry fruit and fine mineralité, the whole bunch neatly subsumed. Lightly fleshy, the palate is medium-bodied with finely knit tannins and quite linear toward the finish. This will drink extremely well for 20 years.
