Drouhin Laroze
Gevrey Chambertin, En Champs, 2017
justerini & brooks tasting note
A velvety, dark fruit-orientated Gevrey. Flavours of black cherry together with a sapid herbal quality, there is a nice crunch to the fresh fruit too. Burstong with character and energy. A fine, relatively cool Gevrey lieu-dit that typically yields, fresh, racy wines.

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin En Champs has a well-defined nose with brambly red fruit, sous-bois and just a touch of charcoal. The palate is medium-bodied with a tensile opening, quite steely at first and linear with a dash of white pepper on the finish.
