Ghislaine Barthod
Chambolle Musigny, Les Fuées, 1er Cru, 2013
justerini & brooks tasting note
Lively, clear, open fruit nose, an incredible burst of energetic fruit on the palate. Electric flavours of small forest berry, red cherry, autumn raspberry and sweeter touches of victoria plum. There is structure yet the gently fortifying tannins have a sensual silky touch to them. Intense, strong, yet so clear and bright. One of Chambolle’s highest Premier Crus vineyards, Ghislaine’s parcel is over 75 years old and produces intense, deeply complex and very refined wines.
