Jean Noël Gagnard
Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Chenevottes, 1er Cru, 2013
justerini & brooks tasting note
A vineyard located at the northern edge of the village, on the St.-Aubin side towards the bottom of the hill. The slope is gentle but enough to ensure good drainage, the soil is light clay mixed with iron rich pebbles. The result is a classic Chassagne, plump and boisterous; full-bodied flavours of butter, almond, citrus and richer touches of wild honey. Aged in 30% new oak for 18 months.
