Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Chenevottes, 1er Cru, 2022

Focussed, sweet stone fruit notes charge from the glass, with excellent definition to the flavours. There’s a broad and generous feel to the texture, but also a bright line of acidity which threads its way through the core. Rich with nuts and fruit – a charmingly traditional Chassagne that offers huge amounts of character, from a vineyard located at the Northern edge of the village, on the Saint-Aubin side towards the bottom of the hill. The slope is gentle but enough to ensure good drainage. The soil is light clay mixed with iron-rich pebbles. Organically farmed.
