    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Super delicious old school white Burgundy at its best - full of punchy, buttery but fresh citrus fruit. Impactful and complex, this offers wonderfully intense, classical notes of flint, roasted nut, butter and citrus rind. Unctuous and fleshy but zesty, too. One of Caroline's best Chenevottes! A vineyard located at the northern edge of the village, on the Saint-Aubin side towards the bottom of the hill. The slope is gentle but steep enough to ensure good drainage; the soil is light clay mixed with iron rich pebbles.

The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru has another lively nose. This takes a few moments to settle in the glass, revealing chalky aromas, a little earthier than the domaine’s other cuvées. The palate is well balanced with a very subtle reduction that works to its favour. Quite saline in the mouth, edgy with a citric and blood orange tinged, slightly bitter finish. This is a well-crafted, energetic Les Chenevottes that should age with style.
