Chassagne Montrachet, Les Chenevottes, 1er Cru, 2023

Lovely bright fruit with a little more leaning to white fruits and stone fruit rather than Masures’ citrus. Plenty of taut tension and salty energy across the mid-palate with supple stone fruit and pear on the finish. Harmony and balance. A vineyard located at the northern edge of the village, on the Saint-Aubin side towards the bottom of the hill. The slope is gentle but enough to ensure good drainage. The soil is light clay mixed with iron-rich pebbles. Organically farmed. Ageing for 18 months one third in steel, one third in barrel and one third in amphora.
