Chambolle Musigny, 1er Cru, 2015
justerini & brooks tasting note
From a blend of seven 1er Cru vineyards in, and around Chambolle. Sweetly scented, compact and complex dark cherry - lush and forward, yet there is a crispness to the acidity and fine, almost covered, tannins. Wild strawberry lingers on through the finish.

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru has a gorgeous nose of brambly red fruit, beautifully defined and just pure Pinoté. The palate is very well balanced, mellow and approachable, though with sufficient tannic backbone. This is taut and fresh, delivering just the right amount of mineralité on the finish. Bon vin! Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
