Joseph Drouhin
Le Montrachet, Grand Cru, Marquis de Laguiche, 2017
justerini & brooks tasting note
The result of three pickings from the 5th to 8th September. umptuously silky, tactile and voluptuous. Honeyed and creamy fruit. Seamless, fluid flavours of acacia honey and mirabelle. Viscous yet bright on the finish. Long and sensual. Hedonistic at first but a lot more complexity given air and time than first meets the eye. Impressive but give it time. The Laguiche Montrachet parcel is in the Northern part, on the Puligny side bordering Puligny Caillerets.
