Nuits St Georges, Les Cailles, 1er Cru, 2021
Aromatically this represents a more complex picture with fine floral notes alongside briary savoury aromas. On the palate this has fabulous finesse and a haunting fine length. Impressive presence of Nuit flavours over a supple, fine length with fabulous precision and detail. Growing all the while it coats the palate, this is an excellent Cailles with power, complexity and sophistication. An exemplary, stony vineyard situated mid slope next to Les St Georges, Chevillon's is a fine parcel of 80-year-old vines, the oldest vines on the estate.

The 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles wafts from the glass with aromas of sweet red berries and plums mingled with rose petals, spices and orange zest. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and elegant, it's an ample, suave, sensual wine with lively acids and beautifully refined tannins.
