The 2018 Sancerre Équilibre is a lively style which is remarkable considering how warm the season was - the Agissons picked the grapes for this wine in late August to retain the freshness and tension, which was very early. But it has worked. The wine is fresh and balanced with fresh red apples, even toffee apples, violets and a salty sea-like flavor. It has fine texture and a scented finish although a smidgen more length would have made it even more appealing. To be fair to its maker, this was only their second vintage.
