Darker and imbued with a richly-spiced mineral, almost ferrous, quality, the Centgrafenberg needs more time than most to reveal its inner beauty. As it stands though, at this early juncture, notes of blood orange, mint and camphor lend considerable complexity to the rich cherry and plum fruit flavours. If the Schlossberg centres on linearity, then the Centgrafenberg speaks to a broader, more wholesome and, arguably, more complex expression of Spatburgunder.
