A Centgrafenberg that takes a moment or two to unwind, the 2022 has a taut feel, offering up notes of dried herbs, spice and stones interlaced with dark cherries, red plum and bramble. Powerful with dustings of coffee bean and a vivid herbal element too, this is a complex and well-structured GG destined to have a long future. Centgrafenberg has always served as the ‘home’ vineyard of the estate and the steep vineyard terraces here mean that the grapes rarely struggle to achieve good ripeness. Fermented with whole clusters and aged in French barrique.
