The Helden is clearly a Thomas Haag wine, betraying an athletic, vibrant persona, suffused with smoky wild yeasts, grapefruit and white peach, through to a long, sweet, carrying finish.

The 2023 Riesling Lieserer Niederberg Helden Kabinett opens with a vivid sense of wet slate and slight smokiness. The palate is a little marvel of compact yet radiant fruit, offering a light-footed dollop of creamy clementine that is juicy, vivid, smooth and so fresh. What a joyful wine and what a long, serene clementine finish.
