Pixelated, dancing white fruits and stone fruit, with a seam of floral and slate perfumed. Really a majestic and profound wine with every element in harmony. Fine boned in acid terms but with a finesse to the fruit and openness that keeps you coming back for more.

The 2020 Wehlener Sonnenuhr GG opens with a clear, deep, refined and herbal/floral bouquet of very fine slate aromas and lovey purity and freshness. Crystalline and salty on the palate, this is a lean and salty, finely grippy, quite powerful Riesling with very ripe fruit aromas on the finish. Intense but not really long this year. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2021.
