The 2024 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling trocken GG displays a golden-yellow color and opens with a generous, very elegant and refined bouquet with intense and perfectly balanced fruit and sur lie aromas. Full-bodied, refined and very elegant on the palate, this is a complex, very long and stimulatingly saline Riesling with a long, fresh and savory finish. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in March 2026.
The 2024 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Grosses Gewächs unites a touch of reductive flintiness with its nose of wet slate, intensifying that notion of stone. Overtones of citrus foliage and lemon-lime zest make the 2024 fragrant and alluring. A beautifully tingling, spicy, scented citrus vibe stays throughout the elegant, taut palate. The 2024 has a wonderful, very fine note of slate running through it. Brilliance, citrus and slate unite in a disarming fashion; what elegance and poise it has! (Dry)
