Peaches, pear, apricot and hints of fresh mango amalgamate with greengages and pure white fruits in silky, elegant fashion, this is a polished, impressive Spätlese that is already quite expressive. It feels stylistically close to Auslese in terms of depth and presence on the palate.

The 2025 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese is already present with utter citric verve, with the zestiness of ripe lemon and tangerine, spraying with energy on its aromatic nose. These citrus notions then frame the beautifully delineated body of ripe white peach. This is a picture of purity, of lightness, of enduring and inherent elegance. What a serene beauty, elegant, light-footed, pure and bright. (Sweet)
