Maximin Grünhauser Abtsberg, Riesling, Spätlese, 2017

Cool spice, slate and apples, with a real sense of the Abtsberg minerality coming through as salty smoky notes - a very classy Spatlese that is long, refined and mouth-watering, but also generous and inviting. Sweet herbs add interest on the finish. Lovely indeed.
