Maximin Grünhauser Abtsberg, Riesling, Superior, 2021

A wine that is very close to the Von Schubert heart, the “Superior” Feinherb benefits from the same selection quality and handling as the GGs but is left to ferment to a natural stop. Its typically animated character and seamless balance, being just off-dry, makes it a wonderful wine for drinking with food. Tangerine, blood orange and white honey jostle with limey oils and a very clear blue slate minerality - this lively acid-fruit combo is offset by a very welcome 14g/l of residual sugar.
