    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Lovely, lifted and complex nose of fresh cherries. The palate is gripping yet elegant with notes of cool mountain herbs and fresh blueberry fruit. Crystal fruit flavours with a sapid hint of pine stony minerality and grounding earthy quality. Lovely, lifted and complex nose of fresh cherries. Freshness and clarity of flavour combined with the nobility and complexity of a Grand Cru. 2014 was a small, late harvest. The long hang-time meant that, despite the poor summer weather, Nebbiolo ripened well. Therefore the tannins, though present and affirming, are beautifully integrated into the wine. Top Grade Barolo. From a prime south-facing parcel at the top of the hill where the soils are very sandy and chalky, within one of the great historic Crus of Barolo. Aged for 36 months in large used oak casks followed by two years in bottle before release.
