    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note
    Rall Wines, Grenache Blanc, 2018

From a high elevation site in Piekenierskloof. Fermented and aged in concrete with no oak influence. Subtle white fruit, greengage and tangerine notes, offering up a gentle yet crisp texture and finishing on freshness. Moreish and chalky – a wine offering bags of character. Just 12.5% ABV.

    ABV:
    12%
    90+/100

The 2018 Grenache Blanc is whole-bunch-pressed and matured in concrete and clay (no oak). It offers generous lemon curd, brioche and orange blossom scents that are well defined. The palate is fresh on the entry, offering orange pith and clementine notes, and quite tight at present. The slightly curt finish suggests it will need a couple of years to really show its mettle in bottle.
