Grenache Blanc, 2025

Crispy and clear cut, saline and very fine – not a wine of fruit per se but of subtle texture and even white fruits and rock salts; none of the richness often associated with this variety. Usually, the vineyard is picked in two tries; one early and one late; but in 2025 ripening was even, and it all came together very easily both in the vineyard and in the cellar. From a sandstone vineyard in the Piekenierskloof at 700m, it is aged exclusively in concrete and bottled after 6-8 months to maintain freshness.
