Heerweg, Spätburgunder, 2022
A single vineyard that offers more structure and depth than the Ingelheim, with notes of mint and spice and bramble. Situated on the opposite hill facing the Lohpfad, directly below the Auf dem Haun, Heerweg is the lower part of the slope, producing a charming, accessible style of Spätburgunder. A west-facing site, the wine is fermented with 100% whole clusters and raised for 18 months in 228L used Burgundian barriques.

Fermented with 100% whole clusters and aged in Burgundian pieces for 18 months, the 2022 Heerweg Spatburgunder is a deep, pure and tight, refreshing and persistently saline Pinot with refreshing cherry aromas and the purity and tension of an excellent and charismatic Pinot. 12.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in February 2025.
