The first vintage of the Blanco was 2019. Since then it has gradually improved to include small proportions of Albillo and Godello, complimenting the lion's share of Verdejo. The addition of Godello rules it out as a DO wine, so it is labelled as a simple Vino de la Terra. To taste it is clearly a lot more impressive than that, as it exhibits freshly cut white fruits, citrus, smoke and lime oils and the structure and background notes of top quality barrels. A sophisticated, energetic white produced with immense attention to detail.

The white 2022 Blanco de Parcela Fuente de las Hontanillas is pale, subtle, elegant and insinuating and a little shy and closed at first. It has a sensational palate that is fresh and balanced, chalky and tasty with minerality. It has a little higher alcohol this ripe and dry year, but still 13%, with a very low pH (3.04) and very high acidity (6.92 grams) that give it a sharp personality. It's a blend of Verdejo and Albillo that matured in barrel for 11 months, but the oak is unnoticeable. 7,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2023.
