Château Hosanna, Pomerol, 2009
It is hard to believe that this is only the 11th vintage of Hosanna; such is this estate's reputation. The 2009 has notes of over-ripe plums, liquorice, minerals, flowers, truffle and earth. The palate is sweeter than Providence with liqueur fruits flavours, it is very fresh and energetic and balanced with great acidity. This combines power and lightness of touch. A very good Hosanna.
critic reviews
The 2009 Hosanna has a ripe, decadent, sumptuous bouquet with glossy black cherry and blueberry aromas, becoming quite floral in the glass. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry but I find the oak a little too conspicuous in this bottle, quite toasty in style with woody tannins on the finish. Other bottles have shown far far better than this one. Tasted at BI Wines & Spirits' Ten Year On tasting.
