A lovely citrus intensity here, salt and minerality with a cut and tension that sets it apart from the other whites in the range. Excellent clarity of flavour, with zesty lemon fruits and a sizzling energy and nerve. Mouth-watering in the best of ways. A vineyard planted in 1981 located just above Bonnes Mares, En la Rue de Vergy is planted on poor, rocky limestone soils. Aged in barriques for 18 months, 15% new oak.

The 2021 Morey Saint-Denis En la Rue Vergy Blanc has a perfumed nose with pear and light green apple scents, well-defined though not complex. The palate is well balanced with lime cordial, peach skin and light spicy notes, hints of orange pith towards the finish. Lovely.
