Latricieres Chambertin, Grand Cru, 2010

Latricières is one of the cooler terroirs of the Gevrey Grands Crus with very poor stony soil. Its character comes out so expressly in even the hottest and ripest of vintages. The 2010 is intensely stony and mineral yet without the austerity it can sometimes have in its youth. This is incredibly smart, complex and serious, notes of crushed rocks, berries, limestone and salts with touches of red cherry, raspberry, redcurrant and sloe; long vivid and pure. Stunning.
