Less broad and enveloping than the Clos de Vougeot but with more dynamism to it. Tight-knit ripe red berry fruits, not flashy but with plenty of verve. There is a rockiness and chalkiness to the mid palate providing some mineral energy which offsets the ripe kirsch notes on the finish rather well.
