Vosne-Romanée, Les Suchots, 1er Cru, 2016

First impressions are familiar, a creamy headily-fruited Suchots with notes of flower and fruit liqueur. However the flavours build and become deeper as they glide across the palate becoming denser and more compact with a very deep, intense sap and salt quality. Concentrated and needing time, even more so than usual. A top flight Premier Cru where the clay-dominated soils give typically smooth voluptuous Vosne Romanées.
