Vosne-Romanée, Les Suchots, 1er Cru, 2017

As you would expect of Suchots this has more middle and weight to it than Grivot’s other Vosne 1er Crus. There is a sensual tactile texture here aligned to a solid framework. A very complete well-rounded wine. Plush and corpulent red berries mixed with more autumnal, earthier characteristics. Polished and showing good intensity of flavour. A top flight Premier Cru where the clay-dominated soils give typically smooth voluptuous Vosne Romanees.
