Puligny-Montrachet, Les Garennes, 1er Cru, 2018

A Garenne with a bit of stuffing and flesh to it. Pithy yellow fruits, some confit notes with a stony minerality tightening the finish. A little more red clay here than Perrières which imparts some body to the savoury mineral characteristics. Aged in 10% new oak barrels. This is one of the estate’s and Puligny's highest vineyards planted on poor stony soils.
