Follin Arbelet
Romanée St Vivant, Grand Cru, 2012
justerini & brooks tasting note
As you would expect, the most reserved and discrete of Frank’s 2012s. Brooding initially, air gradually reveals layer after layer of strawberry, fruit blossom, undergrowth and spice character. This is very intense and needs time to develop, yet it never loses its poise or composure; a supremely well balanced wine with fine, fruity aromatics that echo on the long finish. A fine parcel of Romanée-St.-Vivant located next to Arnoux and Cathiard.
