    Justerini & Brooks Tasting note

Round, silky ripe cherry, summer berry and loganberry, some sweet touches of griotte and oak spice. Soft, lacy and long. A Nuits Premier Cru vineyard on the Vosne side of the appellation and thus usually one of the silkier wines of the Chevillon cellar.

The 2011 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru has a detailed bouquet with perfumed red cherry, crushed strawberry and raspberry scents that are neatly integrated with the oak. It possesses the generosity and joie-de-vivre common amongst Chevillon’s wines. The palate is medium-bodied with plenty of red berry fruit, saline in the mouth with a pinch of spice, dovetailing into a more refined and nuanced finish that shows class and character. Very fine. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.
