Nuits St Georges, Les Pruliers, 1er Cru, 2021
The Nuits structure is evident with deeper and more commanding, yet still fine, tannins that hold more earthy red fruits, spice and fine notes of underbrush. This is classic Nuits but it has a certain sophistication too. Briary savoury fruit intrigues on the long finish. One of Nuits unsung heroes, Les Pruliers is well situated with a gentle slope and a good mix of clay and stones, consistently producing very complete, structured, mineral wine in the typical Nuits mould.
critic reviews
Scents of red berries, dark chocolate, orange zest, sweet spices and loamy soil preface the 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers, a medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated wine that's built around sweet, powdery tannins, and which concludes with a mouthwatering finish. The Pruliers often needs a lot of time, but this 2021 looks set to be unusually approachable, even if it also has the substance and structure to age.
