Nuits St Georges, Les Pruliers, 1er Cru,

One of the most mineral Nuits Chevillon makes, the 2014 is typically stoney, tight-knit and powerful but with a fleshy ,ripe forest berry character that makes this ever so slightly less austere than usual. A very smart, balanced wine that has terroir oozing from its pores. With air that typical strictness quickly softens and the wine unfurls into wholesome, mouthwatering Burgundy. Wonderful. One of Nuits' unsung heroes, Les Pruliers is well situated with a gentle slope and a good mix of clay and stones, consistently producing very complete, structured, mineral wine in the typical Nuit mould.
