Nuits St Georges, Les Pruliers, 1er Cru, 2023
A gloriously fine yet firm Pruliers with floral notes, lovely energy and refined tannins. Salty, small-berried fruit and wonderful Pinosité. Displaying wonderful control and depth with great reserves of stony minerality, impressive freshness and firm, cleansing fruit. Impressive. One of Nuits' unsung heroes, Les Pruliers is well situated with a gentle slope and a good mix of clay and stones, consistently producing very complete, structured, mineral wine in the typical Nuits mould.
critic reviews
The 2023 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers is another of the more structured wines in the range, unwinding in the glass with aromas of blueberries, violets, orange zest and a touch of new oak. Medium-bodied, lively and youthfully firm, its tannins are present but fine-grained.
The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru showed slightly less reduction than the other cuvées, revealing brambly red fruit, loamy scents and just a hint of wild mushroom. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, slightly lactic entry. There's a fine bead of acidity here, sorbet-fresh with marmalade and desiccated orange peel notes toward the finish. This has fine length and should age with style.
