Vosne-Romanée, 2023
justerini & brooks tasting note
Very often firmer than the Nuits, the Vosne this year is more seductive than usual, with notes of violets over creamy, ripe, yet cool fruit that’s silky and polished with a gripping keel of tannin. Habitually a Vosne showing distinct "Nuits" traits, though much less so in 2023. Aged in 50% new oak barrels originating from five parcels of vines aged between 30 and 60-years-old.

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Village has a well-defined bouquet of redcurrant and raspberry fruit with touches of rose petal and crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, fresh and vibrant with a poised and pixelated finish. This is a very delicious Vosne-Romanée.
