Arborina, Langhe, 2004
justerini & brooks tasting note
A Nebbiolo from the Barolo Arborina vineyard aged for a year in oak as opposed to two for the Barolos. This is all about freshness and poise, offering tight-packed fruit flavours of bright red and blackberries, herbs, minerals, spice and suggestions of smoke, this is intense, powerful but composed.

It may seem hard to believe, but the 2004 Langhe Arborina takes things to another level. Here it is the interplay of exuberance and vibrancy that is totally captivating. The 2004 is intense, structured and destined to provide exceptional drinking for another decade plus. Scents of cherry, mint, spice and licorice add the final shades of nuance. The 2004 has really blossomed over the last few years.
