Crisp, crunchy red fruits, small intense alpine and red berry flavours gripped by firm, binding tannins. A fine south facing sandy clay and limestone vineyard in the Annunziata sub zone of La Morra. A tiny production of just 1600 bottles in 2014

The Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is the most forward and supple of Roberto Voerzio's 2014 Barolos. Medium in body and open-knit, the 2014 comes across as a wine that is best suited to near- and medium-term drinking. The silky, pliant feel is classic Rocche. Today, the Rocche is just missing the persistence and depth of the finest wines in this range.
