    Siro Pacenti

A Montalcino estate that was founded in 1970 by Siro Pacenti which 1988 has been bottling and labelling up its own wines. The estate is situated on the north side of Montalcino, at Pelagrilli. There are 20ha of vines situated at Pelagrilli and also on the south side of Montalcino at Piano. The altitude ranges from 330 to 150 metres above sea level. The Brunello is aged for 24 months in a third new oak all barriques followed by 18 months in bottle. Only the Sangiovese grapeis used an all bunches are de-stalked before fermentation. Siro Pacentis Brunellos are beautifully measured, refined and balanced with a subtle modern twist, they offer traditional Brunello power yet offer a good degree of restraint and poise.
