Deep garnet-purple colored. Pops out of the glass with vibrant notes of black cherries and mulberries, followed by hints of menthol, anise, and wild strawberries. The medium-bodied palate is soft and spicy with just enough freshness and a long peppery finish.
The 2024 Domaine des Cambes has a relatively more exotic bouquet that you might misconstrue as deriving from a more clement season. Upfront black cherry, cassis and light vanillary scents burst from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a creamy opening that belies the structure behind this Côtes de Bordeaux. Gentle grip on the finish, very pure and sustained, it is going to be completely delicious and irresistible from bottling. This is a hidden gem of the vintage.
High floral character, crayon, sage, leafy but with plenty to enjoy. Mitjavile estate.
