Marsannay of amazing style and grace. The present but wafer-thin, silky tannic structure provides solid if barely visible foundations to the exquisite lacy fruit. Clarity and purity meet sensuality and seduction. Alluring, light-touch ripe but vital cherry notes titillate, whilst the sweetly-scented touches of fresh damson, griotte and dried flower sweep airily across the palate. A superb parcel, sitting just above the Chateau planted on poor soils that are rich in limestone.

The 2019 Marsannay Clos de Jeu offers up aromas of orange rind, cherries, cassis, red plums and mint. Medium to full-bodied, layered and gourmand, it's fleshy and concentrated, with lovely purity of fruit and a long, mouthwatering finish.
