Clos de Vougeot, Grand Cru, 2013

Powerful, corpulent and bold. Hedgerow fruit, plum, bramble and asian spice flavours explode onto the palate overlaying a brooding tannic framework. Dense and all-encompassing. Philippe Drouhin's parcel of Clos de Vougeot is particularly well situated and it shows in the wine; year in and year out it is consistently one of the best examples there is of this huge Grand Cru.
