Clos de Vougeot, Grand Cru, 2012

One of the most velvety, seductive Clos de Vougeots around; dense but fresh and with a certain finesse. Ripe, intense flavours of blueberry, bramble and damson. Corpulent and mouthfilling without being too much. A very complete wine. Philippe Drouhin’s parcel of Clos de Vougeot is particularly well situated and it shows in the wine; year in and year out it is consistently one of the best examples there is of this huge Grand Cru.
