Robert Chevillon
Nuits St Georges, Les Perrières, 1er Cru, 2012
justerini & brooks tasting note
Structured, typical Nuits that is brooding, muscle-bound and shows strong savoury flavours of earth, smoke and salt to match with the warm, rich notes of griotte. From the poor stony soils of Perrières, this is a Nuits in the classic mould.

Good dark red. Liqueur-like ripeness to the black raspberry and blackberry aromas, supported by good rocky energy. Sweeter than the Bousselots, but with excellent juicy acidity to frame the dark berry and chocolate flavors. Dense, energetic wine with broad, chewy tannins and good finishing mineral energy.
