A Grosse Lage that Thomas Haag has more or less put on the map single-handedly, the Helden is synonymous with complex, slate driven Rieslings resplendent with ripe yellow fruits, red apples and intense, stimulating levels of extract and acidity. The 2020 Helden Kabinett captures these essences and packages them up in as refined a manner as we can remember. Salty golden and tropical fruits are framed by a deep slate minerality and long, reverberating finish. 8.5%

The 2020 Lieser Niederberg Helden Riesling Kabinett offers an intense and crystalline, very elegant and concentrated, flinty nose with intense fruit and beautiful slate aromas. Full-bodied, lush and sweet but also saline, this is a fabulous, seductive and irresistible Niederberg Helden that clearly shows the potential of the vineyard, which is reflected here in its most erotic expression. 8.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP in July 2022.
