Roberto Voerzio
Barolo, La Serra, 2015
justerini & brooks tasting note
A Barolo of classical, chiselled shape. Towering and statuesque. Clear stony and mineral characteristics, on the more serious side of the spectrum but less austere than it can be. There is a tremendous juiciness here and a cleansing finish. Intense, beautifully proportioned and well-defined. Vibrant cherry and berry fruits mingled with fresh herb and dry stone characteristics. Robust but toned. A stunningly bright, uplifting La Morra Barolo. This is Voerzio’s highest Barolo vineyard, situated in the commune of La Morra, at between 380 to 430 metres above sea level.
